1. Regulatory Status & Software Utility Notice

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Disclaimer

XpenseMate is a software utility, not an Account Aggregator, bank, or NBFC regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

XpenseMate does not hold customer funds, execute money transfers, initiate UPI payments, or connect directly to core banking APIs. All financial records, bank accounts, and transactions managed within the platform are logged manually by the user or calculated based on user inputs.

2. As-Is Provision & Disclaimer of Warranties

XpenseMate is provided strictly on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied.

We make no guarantees of uninterrupted platform availability, error-free operation, continuous background synchronization, or permanent preservation of data. The calculations, graphs, category trends, and projections provided across the dashboard are computational tools intended exclusively for informational and self-tracking purposes. They do not constitute financial, investment, accounting, or legal advice.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, XpenseMate, its developers, operators, and affiliates shall not be legally or financially liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Temporary or prolonged server downtime or network disruptions.
Local device storage corruption, browser data loss, or cache eviction.
Inaccuracies or computational discrepancies in user-entered transaction records.
Personal financial losses, overdraft charges, missed bill payments, or tax assessment penalties resulting from using the software.

4. Acceptable Use & Bug Report Restrictions

You agree to use XpenseMate in compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards. You shall not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt server integrity, or conduct automated vulnerability exploitation.

Bug Report & Screenshot Upload Requirements

When using the in-app Bug Report form or uploading attachments, you are strictly prohibited from uploading unredacted credit card or debit card numbers, account passwords, CVVs, government identity numbers, or explicit, offensive, or unlawful material. You are solely responsible for redacting or obscuring sensitive personal information prior to submitting any screenshot.

5. Termination & Account Deletion

You may stop using XpenseMate at any time. You can permanently erase all data associated with your cloud account by using the Delete Account feature located in Settings. Upon confirmation, your user profile and all synchronized records are permanently purged from active server databases.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of India. Any claims, legal proceedings, or disputes arising out of or related to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or your use of the XpenseMate platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in Odisha, India.
